PAYMENT AFFIDAVIT: Prior to making an online payment for a county local business tax receipt, I hereby understand and acknowledge the following: This is an online application for an annual county local business tax receipt and that by proceeding with the transaction swear the information provided hereon is current, true and correct; The privilege to conduct business in Polk County, Florida is limited to the activities, professions and/or occupations identified on the county local business tax receipt; A county local business tax receipt does not waive local, state or federal requirements, including licensing, registration, and/or certification requirements that must be met prior to engaging in the activities, professions and/or occupations for which this application is being made. The holder of a county local business tax receipt must adhere to all the zoning restrictions specified for its business location; Applicants must provide a Federal Employee Identification Number or Social Security Number pursuant to F.S. 205.0535 (5); and, Providing false information to obtain a county local business tax receipt is a criminal offense subject to prosecution.

You will need the following items to complete a payment transaction using this search feature:


1. An account number or owner name, etc.

2. A valid Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express card.


Or a valid checking account with sufficient funds.


ATTENTION: There is no convenience fee charge for regular online county local business tax receipt renewal transaction payments.

Walk-in credit card transactions are not regular online transactions and in such cases a convenience is charged. Effective May 1, 2009 Visa is no longer accepted for walk-in payments. There is a charge of 2.5% or a minimum of $2 per transaction to provide this service through PointAndPay (a third party vendor). PointAndPay accepts Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express Cards. Automation Technologies accepts e-checks. E-check payments are made from a regular checking account only (cashiers checks, money market checks and credit card checks, etc., are not accepted). The routing/account number must be obtained from a regular check and not from a deposit slip. A $5.00 service fee will be added to all returned E-checks.
