Cash, Checks and Money Orders |

Checks or money orders are made
payable to Joe G. Tedder, Tax Collector.
Checks must be in U.S. funds and
drawn on U.S. banks. (Note: Tax redemption
payments must be made by cash, cashier's check, certified
check or money order.)
Do not send cash
through the mail. Cash payments should only be made
during a walk-in transaction at a Tax Collector's Branch Office (Full Service Office) or Tag Agency (Vehicle Transactions Only) location.

Credit Cards |

Tax Collector's Office customers can use PointandPay, a third party vendor, to facilitate Master Card, Discover and American Express card transactions (as well as Visa for selected transactions).
Attention: Effective May 1, 2009, Visa credit/debit cards are not accepted for walk-in transactions. Pursuant to Visa Inc. policies, its cardholders can only use their Visa credit/debit cards for online, mail and automated telephone payment transactions.
No convenience fee is charged for regular online, automated telephone, and mail-in vehicle registration renewals. Also, convenience fees are not charged for online local business tax receipt renewal transactions.
Note: New online specialty tag orders, non-scheduled online tag changes and walk-in credit card transactions are not regular online transactions and in such cases a convenience fee is charged. Presently, convenience fees are also charged for property tax payments. When a convenience fee is charged for the use of PoinandPay's service, the customer agrees to pay a 2.95% (minimum of $2) convenience fee per transaction.

E-Checks |

Tax Collector's Office customers can use Automation Technologies, a third party vendor, to facilitate e-check payments for selected payment transactions. No convenience fee is charged for regular online vehicle registration renewals. Also, convenience fees are not charged for online local business tax receipt renewal transactions.
Note: New online specialty tag orders and non-scheduled online tag changes are not regular online transactions and in such cases a convenience fee is charged. Presently, convenience fees are also charged for property tax payments. When a convenience fee is charged for the use of Automation Technologies' service, the customer agrees to pay a $1.50 convenience fee per transaction. E-check payments are made from a regular checking account only (cashiers checks, money market checks and credit card checks, etc., are not accepted). The routing/account number must be obtained from a regular check and not from a deposit slip. A $5.00 service fee will be added to all returned E-checks.
