HUNTING AND FISHING
MILITARY GOLD SPORTMANS LICENSE

Military Gold Sportsman's License are $20.00 and include the following privileges: Freshwater/Saltwater Fishing and Hunting licenses; Lobster and Snook permits, Wildlife Management Area, Archery, Crossbow, Muzzle loading Gun, Turkey and Florida Waterfowl permits.

Note: Federal Duck Stamps must also be purchased if hunting waterfowl ($17.50).

Military Gold Sportsman's Licenses are restricted to Florida residents who are active or retired members of the U.S. Armed Forces (Armed Forces Reserve, Florida National Guard, Coast Guard or Coast Guard Reserve), upon submission of a current military identification card and military orders showing you are stationed in Florida or a Florida Drivers License. In Polk County this license may only be purchased at one of the Tax Collector's
Service Centers.

Attention: Everyone born on or after June 1, 1975 must pass an approved hunter safety course before they can purchase a Florida hunting license. A hunting license is included in the above license; therefore hunter safety course requirements must be met before we can issue them. Unfortunately, military experience will not exempt you from the hunter safety course as it does not address wildlife management and habitat. Contact the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission by telephone at (850) 488-4676 for information on a hunter's safety class for military personnel.
