A PROGRAM OF THE POLK COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR'S OFFICE
KID TAGS
Calling All 5th Graders!

Kids Tag Art is a school fundraising project originating here in Polk County that inspires fifth grade art students to design their own specialty plate art. Kids Tag Art inspires young artists to create their own unique design, learning the practical application of license plate art to support worthy causes, fashioned after Florida's 100+ specialty license plates. However, these tags are strictly art and not for use as legal identification on the rear bumper of cars. Now into its' fifth year, Kids Tag Art is included in most elementary school curriculums across the County, creating thousands of unique designs, and as a result, instrumental in raising over $89,000 in classroom art supplies.

"This year's art work is outstanding. Warhol and Dali have nothing on these fifth graders in Polk County," commented Tax Collector Joe Tedder.

"We at Southern Homes know creativity is critical in business and for our community. Projects like Kids Tag Art help to introduce and encourage creative thought. Southern Homes is excited about being part of it this program," states Greg Masters, President of Southern Homes
