Recently, Joe Tedder was recognized for his community leadership in the arts, by the Florida Heart Research Institute, sponsor of the Heart Smart Art Awards, an event for the popular Kids Tag Art Program that the tax office hosts.

Special Guest Wildlife Artist Stephen Koury Inspires Audience
This past Saturday, January 18 was Heart Smart Art Day at Polk Museum of Art, where Joe Tedder's Kids Tag Art program teamed up with Miami-based Florida Heart Research Institute to recognize heart-healthy designs as part of this year's countywide drawing contest. Ten talented fifth graders and their families were recognized for their creative heart-healthy design at the 3rd Annual Heart Smart Art Recognition Ceremony and Reception, hosted by The Florida Heart Research Institute of Miami, the sole sponsor of this event and the only one of its kind in the State. Sallie Byrd, Senior Vice President of Development at FHRI, presented each student with their tag art, a FHRI key chain and a certificate of achievement.
