TAX COLLECTOR'S OFFICE CLOSED FOR PRESIDENT'S DAY Staff Is Going Back To School! BARTOW, Florida/ PR Free/ February 14, 2011 The Tax Collector advises the public that on Monday, February 21, 2011, all customer service centers will be closed. Only the American Legion Tag Agency will be open for motor vehicle transactions. "Most taxpayers believe that we are closed on this federal holiday," stated Joe Tedder. "We have the least traffic of any other day in the year. By using this day as an in-service training day, we are saving money and improving our customer service." The American Legion Tag Agency in Winter Haven will be open on President's Day. The American Legion Tag Agency, open weekdays from 8:30 AM through 5:00 PM, excluding observed holidays, is located at 300 Avenue M, Northwest and can be reached by telephone at (863) 293-4724. A drop box is available inside the American Legion Tag Agency for anyone wishing to make a tax payment.
