ELECTRONIC MANAGER SUPPLEMENTAL RETURN (MSR)
Begining in January 2012, Management Companies that are responsible for 20 or more Tourist Development Tax accounts (short-term rental locations) in Polk County, Florida are required to file an Electronic Manager Supplemental Return (MSR).
Manager Supplemental Return (MSR) forms are required to be submitted with the Management Company’s monthly tax return.
A completed MSR form includes reporting period, Management Company’s account number, name and address, rental property address, account number, gross, exempt, and taxable receipts; sign and date. Please notify this office immediately if rental property is
sold or there is a change in management companies.
If a company manages 20 or more homes, they are required to submit their MSR electronically via an Excel spreadsheet on a monthly basis.
Monthly returns and MSR forms that are incomplete will be returned and delinquent penalties and interest will be assessed if not resubmitted by the applicable due date.
