Duplicate Titles
The registered owner or lienholder on record for a vehicle may apply for a duplicate title. An application must be completed in detail and may be submitted to any Branch and/or Tag Office of the Tax Collector. Click here to retrieve the Application For Duplicate Title. (Note: This form is in pdf format, which must be viewed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. This software is available free through the Adobe web site.) The fee for a duplicate vehicle or mobile home title is $78.75; and, The fee for a duplicate vessel (boat) title is $9.00. If there is an outstanding lien, only the lienholder may apply for a duplicate title. If the lien has been satisfied, a lien satisfaction form should be presented. If the title was from another state, you must apply for the duplicate title through the motor vehicle division of that state.
