BARTOW, Fla. – The Office of the Tax Collector for Polk County’s (TCPC) offices will be closed on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, 2024, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Regular hours will resume on Monday, December 2. Tax Collector Joe G. Tedder wishes everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
TCPC’s tag office partners First Lakeland Tag Agency and Express Auto Tags of Winter Haven will also be closed during this time and on Saturday, November 30.
The Tax Collector reminds property owners they can still take advantage of the 4% discount on property taxes through November.
For payments through mail to receive the 4% off, they must be postmarked by Monday, December 2, at the latest. TCPC will also accept walk-in or drop-off payments at service center locations until 5:00 p.m. on December 2, and still apply the 4% discount.
