The Tax Collector’s Office for Polk County offers a variety of motorist services, including but not limited to transactions involving: Driver Licenses and ID Cards; Motor Vehicle Titles, Registrations, License Plates, and Decals; and, Disabled Parking Placards.

Attention: Appointments are required for All Driver License and ID Card services, including written and road course tests, provided at a Tax Collector’s Service Center. To make a Driver License or ID Card service appointment, click here.

Note: All other available motorist services, including but not limited to Titles, Registrations, License Plates, Decals, and Disabled Parking Placards are available on a walk-in basis at a Tax Collector’s Service Center or an approved Tag Agency.

Currently, appointments and extended business hours for vehicle registration and title services are only available at First Lakeland Tag Agency, a provider authorized by the Tax Collector. Payments accepted at this location include Cash, Check, and Debit Cards (Credit Cards are not accepted at this Location).

When possible, customers are encouraged to take advantage of available mail and online payment services as follows:

  • Online services for available Driver License and ID Card transactions are made at MyDMV Portal.
  • To access online payment services for vehicle Registration Renewal transactions, including Express PICKUP, click here.
  • To access online payment services to obtain a printed version of an Electronic Vehicle Title, visit MyDMV Portal.
