Due to the continuing surge of COVID-19 cases in Polk County, Polk County Constitutional Officers, Joe G. Tedder, Tax Collector, Stacy M. Butterfield, Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller, and Marsha M. Faux, Property Appraiser have changed the Property Tax Education Forum to a virtual event on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 6:00 PM.
The forum will focus on the publics interest in:
- Understanding how to reduce the Property Tax burden
- Understanding what happens when I cannot pay my Property Taxes
- Understanding how a Tax Deed sale works
- Understanding how deeds are impacted by Death of Owner
The virtual Property Tax Education Forum is open to the public and being held in conjunction with the City of Lakeland, New Bethel AME Church, and The Coleman-Bush Boosters, Inc.
