KTA has been championing young artists and fueling creativity through the sales of these plates for two decades. When people purchase a plate, proceeds are paid to the elementary art teachers for the purpose of stocking their classroom shelves with supplies. The program has raised more than $720,000 over twenty years; together, Polk and other participating Florida counties have raised nearly $3 million statewide.

On Tuesday evening in Lakeland at Florida Southern College’s Branscomb Auditorium, the 2025-2026 Kids Tag Art ‘Tax Collector’s Choice’ Award was announced, recognizing Isaiah Jackson of Bartow Elementary Academy as this year’s recipient. Two ‘Awards of Distinction’ recipients were honored from each participating school as well, plus other special sponsor awards.

“Isaiah’s tag art instantly made me smile, and I’m really drawn to artwork that gives me that feeling,” Tedder explained of his selection, and this is going to look fantastic traveling the county on my car over the next year!”
