Tax Collector for Polk County Offers New Location for Concealed Weapons License in Northeast Polk

Polk County residents in Northeast Polk seeking to obtain a Florida concealed weapon license can now do so in the Tax Collector Service Room at the Polk County Sheriff’s Northeast District Substation, located at 1100 Dunson Rd., Davenport, FL 33896 by appointment only.

The Tax Collector Service Room in the Sheriff’s Northeast District Substation will only accept payment for a Florida concealed weapon license by credit/debit card or e-check payments, using bank account and routing numbers. Cash or paper checks are not accepted at this location.

We saw the need to offer a more convenient location for the growing population in Northeast Polk County where customers could apply for a Florida concealed weapon license. We appreciate Sheriff Judd working with us to provide additional options. As the population grows in Northeast Polk, we continually work on how best to serve those customers, said Joe G.
